Greensboro, NC - It was a successful senior day for Greensboro Men's Lacrosse as they took down LaGrange on Saturday for a key USA South Conference win.
It was
Justin Barry and senior
Leo Ringelberg who led the way, as Barry scored five goals while Ringelberg scored four.
Alex Mattoon would add three goals, while
Chas Gilroy also scored one.
After one half of play, Greensboro had just a one goal lead. However, they came out in the second half and dominated the Panthers, as they shut them out the entire second half. Goalie Nathan Fox was solid in goal for the Pride, earning ten saves.
Defensively, Greensboro played one of their best games of the season. They had twelve caused turnovers, with
DiMaggio Wilson, Riley Taff, and
Treion James each having two caused turnovers.
Quinton Solomon had five ground balls on the afternoon, while Wilson and James had four.
Greensboro had twenty-nine shots on goal to the Panthers' 17. The Pride also had sixteen more ground balls.
The Pride will travel to William Peace for their next matchup on Tuesday. Game time is set for 7:00 pm.
