Greensboro, NC - In what was the final regular season game of the 2025 season, Men's Lacrosse fell to Piedmont 18-12 on Saturday despite a strong second half rally.
The Lions started out strong, leading 6-1 after the first quarter. They then scored nine second quarter goals and took a 15-3 lead into halftime. Greensboro had a hard time stopping the duo of Miller Buice and Ian Parr in the first half, but made adjustments at the half to slow the Piedmont offense down in half number two.
Greensboro outscored the Lions 9-3 in the second half, playing strong on both ends of the field.
Justin Barry led the Pride with six goals. Barry finishes the season with 55 goals, leading the USA South. He also finishes tied for second place in the conference in total points.
Leo Ringelberg scored twice for the Pride, as did
Malcom Owens.
Alex Speckin and
Kyle Sandle also scored a goal each. Barry led the Pride in ground balls with six, while
Quinton Solomon won seven face-offs.
In goal,
Hayden Hansen had twelve saves while Nathan Fox had eleven.
Greensboro will now face Southern Virginia next Saturday in the first round of the USA South Conference Tournament.
