High Point, NC - Pride baseball took on Maryville in game two of the Triad Invite on Saturday and fell 13-9.
Rush Bowman led Greensboro with a three hit effort and two RBI.
Greensboro got out to a 7-2 lead on the Scots after four innings. The Pride scored five runs in the first inning to give starter
Isaiah Faudoa a big cushion early.
Faudoa would pitch strong through four innings, but the Scots offense came to life in the fifth inning, scoring five runs to tie the game 7-7. They scored the next three runs to go ahead 10-7.
Greensboro got a run back in the seventh on a
Louis Berini RBI fielders choice, but Maryville scored three more runs in the ninth to put the game out of reach.
At the plate,
Brody Gardner had a two hit day as did
Dominic Scavone. Scavone had two RBI along with a double.
Chris Le went 1-3 with three walks, while the team totaled four doubles on the game.
The Pride will play in their final game of the Triad Invite on Sunday when they host Montclair State at 3:30 pm.
