Greensboro, NC - Pride men's lacrosse hosted Marietta College on Thursday at Pride Field and fell 16-7.

It was a high scoring first quarter as the Pride got out to a 3-1 lead early. However, the Pioneers offense got hot as they scored five goals in the quarter to take a 5-4 lead into the second.

Marietta scored another five goals in the second quarter, but this time Greensboro couldn't find the back of the net, and Marietta took a 10-4 advantage into halftime. 

The Pride offense struggled again in the third, only scoring one goal to the Pioneers' three. By the fourth quarter, Greensboro found themselves down 13-5. The Pride scored two goals in the fourth quarter but couldn't slow down Marietta as they put up three goals of their own in the final period.

For Greensboro, DiMaggio Wilson and Justin Barry scored two goals each. Chas Gilroy, Alex Mattoon, and Ben Little all had one goal each. Barry and Mattoon also had two assists. Defensively, Riley Taff had four caused turnovers on the night while Wilson had three.Corrie Miller and Quinton Solomon each had five ground balls.

The Pride travel to Virginia Beach on Monday as they take on Wabash College for a 2:00 pm matchup at the Virginia Beach Sports Complex.
