Lynchburg, VA - It was a dominant performance from Greensboro men's lacrosse as they took down Randolph College 20-9 on the road Saturday.
Justin Barry scored 6 goals with 1 assist, surpassing the 100 point mark in his career. Barry scored the opening goal of the game just over a minute in.
Quinton Solomon and
Chas Gilroy scored not long after as the Pride took a 3-0 lead.
Greensboro scored six first quarter goals, with the final three going to Barry,
Alex Mattoon, and
Will Pailthorpe. They also scored six second quarter goals to take a 12-4 lead going into halftime.
In what was the theme of the game, the Pride scored another six goals in quarter number three. Two of those came from Mattoon, followed by
DiMaggio Wilson,
Kyle Sandle,
Quinton Solomon, and Barry.
The final two goals came in the fourth quarter as Greensboro cruised to their fourth win of the season.
Quinton Solomon totaled three goals, a season high, while Mattoon also scored three. Gilroy and Wilson each scored two goals on the afternoon, while Pailthorpe,
Connor Ferreria, Sandle, and
Michael Lesser each scored one. Wilson and Ferreria had two assists each.
Quinton Solomon had nine ground balls to go along with his three goals and nineteen face-off wins.
Corrie Miller led the team with two caused turnovers.
Greensboro will host LaGrange next Saturday for senior day at 3:00 pm.
