Lynchburg, VA - Greensboro baseball took on #3 Lynchburg for the second time this season on Wednesday and fell 12-5.
Greensboro got on the board first with a three run second inning that included a
Shane Garrett RBI double, a
Bobby Rossi RBI single, and a
Chris Le RBI single.
The Hornets scored four in the bottom half of the frame to take a 4-3 lead. With the score tied 4-4 in the fifth, Lynchburg took the lead again with two runs in the fifth inning, followed by a five run sixth inning. Greensboro scored their final run in the ninth inning on a
Liam Pfrommer-Pease RBI groundout.
JA'Heim Brown got his first start of the season on the mound for Greensboro, going 1.2 innings. At the plate,
Chris Le and
Dominic Scavone each had two hits while freshman
Solomon Eudy had his first career hit off the bench.
Greensboro will now get ready for a big USA South Conference series against William Peace beginning on Friday afternoon.
