Men's Lacrosse Taken Down by Methodist

Fayetteville, NC - Greensboro men's lacrosse took on Methodist on Saturday and fell 23-10 to a tough Monarchs squad.

Methodist took a 7-3 lead after the first quarter as the Monarchs offense was hot from the start. Justin Barry, Guy Galardi, and Alex Mattoon all scored in the first period.

Methodist outscored the Pride 6-3 in the second quarter as the Pride defense struggled to hold down Jay Legg, who scored five times for the game. It was much of the same in quarter number three, as the Monarchs pulled away and put the game out of reach.

Mattoon, Barry, and Leo Ringelberg all scored two goals for the Pride while DiMaggio Wilson, Connor Ferreria, Riley Taff, and Galardi all scored one goal. Quinton Solomon led the team in ground balls with ten, while Barry had six. Taff also had two caused turnovers.

In goal, Hayden Hansen had six saves while Nathan Fox had ten.

Greensboro will host Southern Virginia in their next contest on March 26th. Game time is set for 7:00 pm on Pride Field.
