Men's Lacrosse Falls to Marymount

Arlington, VA - Greensboro men's lacrosse hit the road on Saturday to play Marymount University and lost 19-7.

Greensboro scored the first two goals of the afternoon after Justin Barry and Chas Gilroy each scored a goal to make it 2-0. After Marymount scored their first goal the score was 2-1 after one quarter.

Unfortunately for the Pride, Marymount scored seven times in the second quarter while Greensboro only scored once. At the half, Marymount led 8-3.

The third quarter wasn't any better for Greensboro as they were outscored 8-1. Both teams scored three goals each in the fourth period as Marymount took home the win.

Barry would end up scoring three goals on the afternoon to raise his season total to 16. DiMaggio Wilson scored two goals on the day while Chas Gilroy also scored two. Quinton Solomon led the team in ground balls with three, while Riley Taff, Romeo Espinosa-Ponce, and Layne Clark had two caused turnovers each.

Marymount outshot Greensboro 57-25 in this one while Nathan Fox had 22 saves in goal for the Pride. Greensboro also had 28 turnovers.

The team will look to get back on track at home against Marietta College on March 6th. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
