Greensboro, NC - Greensboro men's lacrosse played host to SUNY-Delhi on Sunday afternoon and fell 12-5.
The Pride kept it to a 2-1 score after one quarter of play. In the first quarter,
Ben Little scored unassisted to give Greensboro their only lead of the game, 1-0. The Broncos would score five straight goals, however, and take a 5-1 advantage.
Later in the second quarter,
DiMaggio Wilson scored his 4th goal of the season to make the score 5-2. After three more Broncos goals, the Pride got their third goal from Little on an assist by
Justin Barry. Unfortunately for Greensboro, the Broncos offense was too much to handle as the Pride couldn't keep up with the scoring pace of SUNY-Delhi.
Barry and
Connor Ferreria scored the final two Greensboro goals in the fourth quarter. The Pride were outshot 43-33 on the day and had five more turnovers. The Broncos also won 16 face offs to Greensboro's 5.
In goal,
Hayden Hansen had 8 saves while Nathan Fox had 10.
Greensboro goes on the road for their next contest on February 26th when they take on Virginia State. Game time is set for 6:00 pm.
