Greensboro, NC - The Greensboro women's basketball team hosted conference leading Southern Virginia on Tuesday and fell 82-30.
The Knights controlled the game from the start, getting out to a 20-7 lead after one quarter. Greensboro's offense struggled all night, with their highest scoring quarter being 13 points in the final period.Â
SVU's Addison Newman scored a game high 18 points. For the Pride,
Meah Brooks totaled 10 points to lead the team. Greensboro shot 24% from the field and just 2-13 from long range.
Turnovers were also a key factor in this one, as the Pride had 27 of them. With the loss, Greensboro tied for the #7 seed in the conference standings with one game to go.
The Pride will play at Salem College on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm to wrap up the regular season.
