Elon, NC - The Greensboro College Men's Basketball team took the short trip to Elon, North Carolina to play an exhibition at Division I Elon University on Monday afternoon. Elon would come out on top, 97-63.

The Pride played a strong first half against the Phoenix, trading buckets early on. Greensboro was led by Jalen Thorns and Nygie Stroman in this one, as they combined for 36 points. Both Thorns and Stroman knocked down 3 three-pointers in the first half.

Elon began to pull away in half number two, outscoring the Pride 45-29 in the final 20:00. Zephaniah Jones had a strong second half with 10 points, 2 rebounds, and a blocked shot. Greensboro was only able to shoot 1-10 from long range in the second half after going 7-15 in the first half.

Greensboro did win the turnover battle, as the Phoenix turned the ball over 18 times compared to 13 for Greensboro. Elon was able to control the paint, however, scoring 52 points down low.

• This was the first Division I opponent for the men's basketball program since 2023, when they faced Charlotte on December 22, 2023.
• Jalen Thorns went 8-15 from the floor and 3-4 from long range, totaling 21 points.
• Greensboro got 21 points from their bench, led by Zephaniah Jones' 10 point performance.
