Lynchburg, VA - Greensboro College Men's Basketball (3-7) took on Lynchburg (7-4) on Wednesday afternoon and fell 107-71.
The Hornets offense was strong throughout, scoring 48 points in the first half and 59 in the second. They were led by Jamarcus Brown, who scored 22 points and had 13 rebounds.Â
Greensboro shot 41% in the first half, but fell off in the second, shooting just 31% They did shoot well from long range, however, hitting 11 three-pointers. The Hornets did a lot of their damage in the paint, scoring 52 points down low, while also hitting 11 three-point shots.
Nygie Stroman was the leading scorer for Greensboro with 15 points, while
Shamari Johnson scored a career high 13 points while adding 4 steals.
Yariel Chudgar Benitez scored 11 points and went 3-5 from behind the arc.
The Pride will play again when they travel to Johnson & Wales in the Jay Bilas Classic on Saturday night at 7:00 pm.
