Camryn Marcondes scored two goals as the Greensboro College Women's Soccer team (11-6-2, 5-4) earned a 2-0 win in the first round of the USA South Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon over NC Wesleyan.
The Pride took down the Bishops for the second straight season in the first round of the tournament, as they also defeated NC Wesleyan a season ago.
Marcondes scored her first goal just 15 minutes into the game, taking it all by herself past multiple defenders and striking one into the bottom right corner of the net. Her second goal would come late in the contest in the 81st minute, scoring another unassisted goal to give the Pride a 2-0 lead.
Marcondes has now scored 3 goals in her past 2 games. The freshman has 4 goals on the season, while leading the team in shots on goal with 29.

Shyann Hansen earned her 7th shutout of the season in the victory. She is now tied for third in program history for shutouts in a single season.Â
With the win, Greensboro will now travel to #2 seed Southern Virginia on Wednesday, November 5th at 5:00 pm. In their lone regular season match, SVU defeated Greensboro 1-0 on October 15th.
