Greensboro, NC - Greensboro College Football (1-7, 0-5) fell to LaGrange College (7-1, 5-0) on Saturday by a score of 49-20.

The Panthers came out and scored the first 14 points of the game in the first quarter to take a two touchdown lead early. However, Greensboro fought back in the second quarter, scoring 20 points. The quarter included a 29-yard touchdown pass by Cameron Turner to KJ Brown, a Turner 2-yard touchdown run, and then another Turner 2-yard touchdown run later in the quarter.

LaGrange did score two more touchdowns in the second quarter, and took a 28-20 lead going into halftime. The Panthers would take control again in the second half, scoring 21 points and shutting out Greensboro. The Panthers scored 9 in the third quarter and 12 more in the fourth.

LaGrange totaled 25 first downs on the day to Greensboro's 15. Both teams ran the ball well, as the Panthers ran for 168 yards while Greensboro ran for 163. Camron Torrence-Kelly had a big day on the ground by rushing for 99 yards on 17 carries.

Turner would finish the day throwing for 88 yards with 1 touchdown pass and 1 interception. He also ran for 40 yards. Defensively, Caden Jeter had a forced fumble while Will Pailthorpe had a fumble recovery. The Greensboro defense also had 6 tackles for loss.

Greensboro will go on the road to NC Wesleyan next Saturday for a 12:00 pm kickoff.
