Greensboro, NC - Greensboro College Volleyball (20-2, 13-0) hosted Brevard (6-17, 3-8) on Wednesday night and defeated the Tornados 3-0. Greensboro improves to 13-0 in conference play as they inch closer to securing the #1 seed in the USA South Tournament.
The Pride dominated the first set 25-10. The team had 11 kills while the Tornados had 8 errors. Greensboro also had a .556 hitting percentage in the set. Greensboro took the second set 25-17, and then took the final set 25-15.
As a team, the Pride had 7 service aces, 34 kills, and 52 digs. Brevard had 21 attack errors and 9 service errors on the night.Â
Taylor Cotie and
Payton Shiflet had 7 kills each, while
Morgan Mayfield totaled 14 digs.
Jaylyn Templeton had 23 assists on the night while
Grace Klingensmith had 3 service aces. Head coach
Dan Bozarth also became the fastest coach in program history to reach 20 wins.
