Jackson, MS - Greensboro College Football (1-5, 0-3) traveled to Belhaven (4-2, 3-0) on Saturday and were defeated 41-26.
Turnovers were the key in this one, as Greensboro threw three pick six's and lost 2 fumbles on the day. Greensboro got out to an early lead after
Ziere Ray recovered a fumble and returned it 55 yards for a touchdown. Belhaven later kicked a field goal and the Pride took a 7-3 lead to the second quarter.
Early in the quarter, Belhaven scored 2 points on a safety when Greensboro was called for a holding penalty in their own endzone. They later scored a touchdown, and took a lead 12-10 lead into the half.
Belhaven turned up the heat in the third quarter, getting two of their pick six's as part of a 22 point third quarter. They essentially put the game away with their dominant third period, leading 34-10 heading into the fourth.
The Pride didn't back down, however, as they scored 16 fourth quarter points.
Camron Torrence-Kelly scored his second touchdown of the season and first receiving score on a pass from
Chase Altis just as the fourth quarter began. At the end of the fourth,
KJ Brown caught a pass from Altis for his first receiving touchdown of 2025.
Offensively, Altis threw for 87 yards on 17 completions with 2 touchdown passes and 2 interceptions. Freshman
Cameron Turner had a solid day going 4-7 for 55 yards. Torrence-Kelly had 11 carries for 54 yards.
Shamar Privette had 4 receptions for 71 yards while
KJ Brown had 9 catches for 49 yards.

Jadon Barnes had 8 tackles with 2 tackles for loss. Pailthorpe and
Elijah Hebron each had 1 interception, while
Frank Walker had a forced fumble.
Greensboro will be back at Pride Field next Saturday for homecoming as they host Brevard at 6:00 pm.
