Greensboro, NC - Greensboro Women's Soccer (5-4-2, 1-2) hosted Methodist (2-0-6, 1-0-2) in a USA South Conference match on Wednesday afternoon and fell 1-0.
The Pride played strong defensively all afternoon. limiting Methodist to just 6 shots, with 3 being on goal.
Griffin Horn got the start in goal for Greensboro and had 1 save, while
Shyann Hansen had 2.
In the 81st minute, Methodist would get the game-winning goal on an own goal by Greensboro on an unfortunate break, ultimately giving the Monarchs their second win of the season.
Greensboro's offense was able to create a few opportunities in both stanzas, but couldn't come through with a goal. They totaled 7 shots with 3 being on goal.
