Fayetteville, NC - Greensboro men's basketball took on Methodist on Saturday afternoon and fell 79-61. With the loss, the Pride fall to 2-4 in USA South Conference play.
Greensboro got off to a slow start on offense and couldn't keep up with the Monarchs, who played strong on the offensive end all game long. For the game, Methodist shot 54% from the floor, including 60% in the second half.
The big advantage the Monarchs had was in the paint. They scored 68 of their 79 points in the paint, as well as collecting 13 offensive rebounds. Ke Edwards led Methodist with 28 points, going 14-18 from the floor.
Greensboro also lost the turnover battle 13-7. They would shoot 42% from the floor and 9-24 from behind the arc on the afternoon.
Isaiah Pruett led the team in scoring with 23 points on 7-16 shooting.
Aidan Eller scored a season high 13 points off the bench, while
DJ Jackson scored 12. Jackson also had 7 rebounds.
Greensboro will play again on Janaury 29th when they travel to Brevard. Game time is set for 5:30 pm.
