In their annual cross-town rivalry game, the Greensboro men's soccer team was defeated by Guilford 2-0 on the road Friday night.
It was a chippy contest, as there were a total of 11 yellow cards. Guilford got out to an early 1-0 lead thanks to a goal in the 5th minute by Saeed Saavedra. It was a defensive battle the rest of the way, as the Quakers didn't score their second goal until the 88th minute.

Greensboro will play again on Wednesday, September 11th when they travel to play another ODAC opponent in Averett. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
