Fayetteville, NC - Greensboro women's soccer took on Methodist Tuesday night in their first USA South Conference game of the season and fell 2-0 to the Monarchs.
Methodist was able to control possession for most of the match, and out-shot the Pride 12-5. The first goal of the game came in the 37th minute by the Monarchs' Cadence Brown to put Methodist ahead 1-0.
The Greensboro defense played well throughout the rest of the match, but the Monarchs were able to put a second goal on the board in the 82nd minute to put the game out of reach.Â

Lindsay Fox was in goal for the Pride and had 5 saves.Â
Greensboro returns to Pride Field on Saturday as they play host to Pfeiffer University. Kick-off is set for 4:00 pm as a part of homecoming weekend.
