Greensboro, NC - Greensboro men's soccer was back on their home field on Tuesday afternoon as they took on Maryville College. Unfortunately for the Pride, the Scots were too much to handle in this one, as they took the victory 4-0.
Maryville took a 1-0 lead in the first half when, in the 15th minute, Brady Hammer headed one in the net for his first of two goals on the game. The score remained 1-0 as the teams hit the halftime break, but once the second half began, the Scots came out firing and scored three second half goals.
The final three goals came in an 11 minute stretch from the 75th minute to the 86th minute. Greensboro couldn't find enough offense to keep up, as they had just 6 shots on the game.Â
The Pride started
Giovanny Jacon in goal, and then turned to senior
Cristian Del Cid in half number two. Jacon had 4 saves while Del Cid had 3.
Greensboro plays at home again on Friday when they host Carolina University. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
