Montgomery, AL - Greensboro women's soccer won their first game of 2024 on Saturday, as they defeated Huntingdon 4-2.
Four different Pride players scored, including
Cassidy Olszewski (1),
Amery Skinner (4),
Shae Brennan (1), and
Alex Hyde (1).
Olszewski scored the opening goal of the match in the 20th minute off an assist by
Mallory Carter. Skinner then made it 2-0 in the 47th minute on an unassisted goal.
Shae Brennan would make it 3-0 in favor of the Pride in the 66th minute. After a Hawks goal,
Alex Hyde scored the fourth Greensboro goal on the afternoon in the 83rd minute.Â
Greensboro out-shot Huntingdon 24-22 on the match. Pride goalie
Lindsay Fox came through a career-high 11 saves.
The Pride will play their next match at home on September 18th, when they host Regent University for a 3:00 pm match-up on Pride Field.
