Greenville, SC - The Greensboro women's soccer team played their third straight road game on Thursday afternoon as they traveled to Greenville, SC to battle the Bruins of Bob Jones University. A second half surge by the Bruins helped seal a 2-1 victory for Bob Jones.
After a scoreless first half, the Bruins scored in the 54th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Pride came right back to tie the game after a goal by
Amery Skinner made the score 1-1. Skinner's goal was her third of the season.
In the 74th minute, the Bruins' Shannon Miller scored the game-winner off an assist from Mia Marks. Unfortunately for Greensboro, they couldn't score the equalizer late in the second half and took the 2-1 loss.
Bob Jones out-shot the Pride 11-7 on the contest, while Pride goalie
Lindsay Fox had 5 saves.
Greensboro will stay on the road and travel to Huntingdon College on Saturday to take on the Hawks. Game time is scheduled for 12:00 (CST).
