Greensboro, NC - Hanes Gymnasium was the sight of the 2024 edition of the Guilford vs Greensboro volleyball match, and this one didn't disappoint. Greensboro came out on top 3-1 in an exciting and action packed match-up in a packed house inside Hanes Gym.
The Quakers took the first set 26-24 after the Pride stormed back to take a 24-23 lead after Guiford began the set taking an 11-4 advantage. The Quakers then scored three straight points to win the set and go up 1-0.
That would be all for Guilford, however, as Greensboro would win the next three sets to secure the victory. In set two, Greensboro came out on top 25-21, and then took set three 25-13.
In the fourth set, both teams battled hard, but the Pride pulled away late to win 25-21.
Kelci Brooks led the Pride with 10 kills, while also collecting 13 digs and 1 service ace.

Larkin Baxley all had 6 kills each. Cotie and
Alexandra Carefoot had 2 blocks on the night.Â
Morgan Mayfield led Greensboro in digs with 24, while
Grace Young had 15. Young and Mayfield anchored a spectacular defensive effort for Greensboro in this one.Â
The Pride will travel to Lynchburg, VA this weekend to play in the Hill City Classic. They will take on Lynchburg and LaGrange College on Saturday, with game one against Lynchburg scheduled for 11:00 am.
