St. Mary's City, MD - The Greensboro women's soccer team opened the new season in game one of the Seahawk Classic against St. Mary's (MD) and fell 4-1.
The Pride got on the scoreboard first when
Amery Skinner scored on an assist from
Shae Brennan. Skinner led the team in goals with 13 last season.Â
Unfortunately for Greensboro, they couldn't stay hot as the Seahawks scored the final 3 goals of the game. St. Mary's led 2-1 at the half, and followed up with another 2 goals in the second period.
The Seahawks out-shot Greensboro 19-5 on the game, while Pride goalie
Lindsay Fox recorded 8 saves. Fox's 8 saves ties a career high.Â
