Greensboro, NC - Greensboro Baseball (21-13) hosted Roanoke College (17-16) on Tuesday and fell 10-7.
The Maroons got out to a 3-0 lead early, but the Pride battled back to take a 4-3 lead in the 4th inning. In the 6th inning, an RBI single by
Cooper Ferguson put the Pride ahead 5-4, but this would be the last lead that Greensboro would have.
Roanoke scored 6 runs in the 8th inning with the help of 3 errors by the Pride defense. In total, Greensboro made 6 errors on the day. Greensboro did score two more runs to make it a 10-7 game in the bottom of the 8th, but couldn't muster up a comeback in the 9th.
Matthew Simpson got the start on the mound and went 3.0 innings, giving up 1 hit, 3 runs (1 earned), and 2 strikeouts.
Aaron McInvale pitched a solid 4.0 innings out of the bullpen giving up 5 hits and 1 run.
