High Point, NC - Greensboro Baseball hosted the University of Rochester on Friday at Truist Point Stadium as part of the Triad Invite. The offense would score 9 runs and starter Aaron McInvale went over six innings to lead the Pride to a 9-5 win.

Greensboro took an early 2-1 lead in the third inning after Brody Gardner and Scotty Diekman each had RBI singles. With the game tied 2-2 in the fifth inning,Greensboro scored three runs to take a 5-2 lead. Then in the sixth inning, Nick Marshall hit a two-run homer to right field to extend the lead to 8-2.

Rochester brought the score to 8-5 in the seventh, but Stephen Dunlow got the Pride out of a bases loaded jam to keep the score 8-5. Dunlow then pitched the final two innings to get his third save of the season.

Marshall had four hits on the game for the Pride with three RBI. Brody Gardner had three hits, including two doubles. The team had a total of twelve hits and five walks.

Greensboro plays again on Sunday when they host Maryville at Truist Point Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 PM.
