High Point, NC - Greensboro Baseball (11-4) got their eleventh with of the season on Sunday after defeating Maryville College 7-5.
Michael Richards got the win on the mound, going 5.1 strong innings.
The Scots got out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning, but the Pride cut the lead in half in the bottom of the third when
Adam Weber hit an RBI triple. Later with the game tied 2-2, Weber singled home another run to give Greensboro the lead.
Down 4-3, the Pride scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh to take a 7-4 lead.
Nick Marshall doubled home two runs to give Greensboro the lead, and then
Brody Gardner scored on a wild pitch.
Stephen Dunlow came into the game to get the save in the ninth inning for his fourth save of the season.
For the Pride,
Chris Le went 2-5 with two runs scored out of the leadoff spot.
Evan Sykes went 1-3 with a walk and an RBI, while
Louis Berini went 2-3.
On Tuesday, Greensboro hosts the defending national champions, the University of Lynchburg, at Truist Point in High Point, NC. First pitch is set for 4:00 PM.Â
