Greensboro, NC - The Greensboro Men's Lacrosse team (4-4) were defeated by Methodist (4-4) on Saturday afternoon 23-4. The Pride struggled from the beginning as the Monarchs' offense stayed hot all game long.
The Pride were down multiple players due to injury in this one, and they couldn't keep pace with Methodist in the USA South Conference opener. The Monarchs scored six first quarter goals and then put home six more goals in the second period.
The Pride scored two goals in the second quarter when
Jameson Doll and
Nate Bladen got the offense on the scoreboard. The Monarchs came out just as good in the third quarter, scoring another six goals. They finished off the game with five fourth quarter goals to complete their twenty three goal game.
For Greensboro, the final two goals came from
Justin Barry and
Will Pailthorpe. The Pride scored their four goals on twenty six shots.
Edward Rowley,
Hayden Hansen, and Nathan Fox combined for eleven saves.
The Pride travel to Huntingdon College this Friday, with a scheduled start time of 2:00 pm CST.
