Mount Berry, GA - The Greensboro Baseball team (8-1) got a victory over Belhaven University (7-6) on Saturday afternoon, 10-8. It was an offensive explosion for both teams as the Pride came from behind to get their eighth win of the season.

Greensboro scored the first two runs of the game in the first inning on RBI hits by Nick Marshall and Evan Sykes. Belhaven scored three runs of their own in the second inning to lead 3-2. After the Pride scored three runs in the third inning, Belhaven came back with four runs in the fourth inning to take the lead back.

With Belhaven leading 8-6, Greensboro scored four runs in the eighth inning to take a 10-8 lead. Louis Berini hit a two RBI double to tie the game, and then Mo Lopez gave the Pride a 9-8 lead on an RBI single. Brody Gardner then hit an infield single to drive in the final run of the game.

Ian Bast got the start for Greensboro, going four innings and giving up seven runs. Matthew Simpson got the win out of the bullpen, going three innings. Stephen Dunlow came in to shut the door in the ninth inning for his second save of the season.

The Pride began their second game of the day against Oglethorpe University, and are currently leading 10-3 in the seventh inning. The final innings of the game will be played on Sunday due to severe fog. Greensboro will also play Berry College on Sunday at 12:00 PM.
