Greensboro, NC - Greensboro Men's Lacrosse (4-3) picked up their fourth win of the season on Tuesday night as they took down Edgewood College (2-5) by the score of 9-6.
The Pride played well defensively all game long. Goalie
Edward Rowley had 13 saves on the night while the defense, led by
Ryan Buchanan,
Jack Sheridan, and
Colin Byrne, kept the Edgewood offense stagnant for most of the night.
On the offensive side, it was
Justin Barry who led the way with three goals. Freshman
Jameson Doll had two goals as did
Alex Mattoon.
Chas Gilroy and
Leo Ringelberg each had one goal.
Greensboro led by one goal at halftime before taking a two goal lead after three quarters. The Pride held Edgewood to zero goals in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
Greensboro will host USA South Conference rival Methodist University this Saturday on Pride Field. Game time is set for 12:00 PM.
