Asheboro, NC - The Greensboro Baseball team (6-0) swept a double header against Mount Saint Mary College (0-4) on Saturday, with game one finishing with a 23-10 final score and game two going the Pride's way by the score of 14-1.
Game One:
Greensboro scored 23 runs in game one as the offense had no mercy on the Knights' pitching staff. While Mount Saint Mary did get out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, the Pride came back with two runs of their own in the bottom of the first on a
Nick Marshall two RBI double. Marshall went 2-4 with 5 RBI.
Greensboro scored 13 runs in the third inning after scoring 7 runs in the second frame. They would score one more run in the fourth inning as the game was called after seven because of the 10 run rule.
Chris Le went 3-4 with 3 runs scored and 3 RBI.
Adam Weber also had 3 hits and 3 RBI, including a homerun in the third inning.
Brody Gardner scored 4 runs,
Evan Sykes had 3 RBI, and Garrett Stone went 3-3 with 3 RBI.
Louis Berini collected his first homerun of the season on a two-run shot in the third.Â
Game Two:
Game two saw the Pride continue to hit the baseball all over the yard, scoring 14 runs.
Ian Bast would get the win, improving to 2-0 on the season. The freshman threw 5.0 innings and struck out 2 Knights batters.Â

Chris Le and
Adam Weber each had a double. The baserunning was also impressive as Greensboro had five stolen bases.
Chris Le had another big game, going 3-4 with 3 runs scored out of the leadoff spot.
Adam Weber went 4-4 with 4 RBI, while
Brody Gardner also went 4-4 with 4 RBI.Â
The Pride drew 6 walks and only struck out once. The team totaled 16 hits and left 8 runners on base.
