Danville, VA - It was a big day for Greensboro Men's Wresting as
Josh Wilson, ranked #2 in NCAA Division III in the 141 pound weight class, won the ODAC Conference Tournament on Saturday. This is Wilson's 2nd ODAC Championship and 4th conference tournament win of his career.
In Wilson's first two years, he won the Southern Conference Championship in the 133 pound class. On Saturday, he was also unanimously voted the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament. Wilson defeated Mark Samuel of Roanoke College by Decision (13-6) in the championship match.
Quadir Medley finished 6th in the 133 pound class for the Pride, while
Ethan Kring also finished 6th place in the 157 pound weight class.
Omori Lee came in 4th place in the 184 pound class, and senior
Khalil Belk finished 4th in the 197 pound weight class.
Christopher Watson finished 5th in the 125 pound class.
Wilson will again compete in the NCAA Southeast Regionals in Williamsport, PA on March 1st and 2nd. Wilson won the 141 pound weight class last year at the Regionals and won the MOW.Â
