Men's Wrestling Season Ends at NCAA Regionals

Ada, OH - Greensboro College Men's Wrestling competed at the NCAA Regionals on Friday and Saturday at Ohio Northern University.

The team was led by senior Mitch Johnson, who wrestled in the 141lb class. Johnson earned a win after a first round bye on Friday, and then fell to defending National Champion Mark Samuel in his second match. However, Johnson would wrestle all the way back to the third place match on Saturday.

Unfortunately, Johnson would lose a tight battle via a 6-4 decision and finish fourth, one spot short of reaching the national tournament.

Other notables from the tournament included Isaiah Manning, who went 2-3 and fell in the seventh place match to end his season. Omori Lee, Josue DelCid, Nick Menjivar, Ethan Kring, Leejunior Price and Amarion Wilson also competed for Greensboro.
