Ithaca, NY - The #22 ranked men's wrestling team began their 2024-2025 season at the Ithaca College Invitational this weekend, as defending 141lb National Champion
Josh Wilson looked to begin his final season with a tournament victory.
Wilson was able to make a run to the championship match, but was taken down by Cameron Soda from Johnson & Wales and would finish runner up in the 141lb weight class. This is Wilson's first loss to a non-Division I opponent since the 2022-2023 season.
Junior
Jacob Barlow won his first round match against Connor Byers of Norwich in the 285lb weight class before falling to Alaq Dowd-Grant from Castleton in the second round.
Jamie Jinks also wrestled in the 285lb class and received a bye in the first round before defeating Zach Sulkis in round two by fall. Jinks would lose by fall in the next round to Abbas Abdulrahman.
The Pride will wrestle inside Reynolds Gymnasium for their next match against St. Andrews on November 19th.
