Greensboro, NC - Make it six straight victories for the Greensboro volleyball team as they defeated Pfeiffer 3-0 on Wednesday night to improve to 13-5 on the season and 6-2 in USA South Conference play.
Greensboro set the tone early by winning the first set 25-20. That was followed up by a 25-16 win in set two, giving the Pride a 2-0 advantage heading into set number three.
The third set was an even more convincing win, as Greensboro took care of business 25-14 to sweep the Falcons. The win improves the Pride's home record this season to 4-1.
Leading Greensboro in kills was
Kelci Brooks, who had 12.
Krista Brantley tallied 10 kills, while
Taylor Cotie had 5.
Grace Klingensmith had 3 service aces on the night, while
Jaylyn Templeton had a season high 30 assists.Â
Reigning USA South Defensive Player of the Week winner
Morgan Mayfield had a team-high 17 digs, and
Kelci Brooks totaled 15. As a team, Greensboro had 9 service aces on the night and 35 kills.
The Pride will host conference leading Methodist this Saturday at 1:00 pm inside Hanes Gymnasium.
