Lexington, VA - It was an exciting day on the mat for Men's Wrestling on Saturday as the team took home a 4th place finish. As a team the Pride totaled 85 points.
Josh Wilson continued his dominant season by taking home the title in the 141 pound class.
In the 125 pound class,
Christopher Watson went 4-1 on the day, collecting 11.5 points. Wilson collected 19 points on the day and went 4-0 in route to the 141 pound title. In the 157 pound class,
Ethan Kring went 4-2. Kring wrestled for 3rd place in the 157 pound class and fell to Washington & Jefferson's Bryce Rodriguez-Uram.
Luke Gregory wrestled in the 174 pound class and totaled 10.5 points on the day. Gregory also wrestled for third place but fell to Southern Virginia's Tyson Hoopes.
Omari Lee would finish 5th place in the 184 pound class and total 10 points.
By winning the 141 pound class, Wilson now has four tournament wins this season. Wilson previously won the Ithaca Open, Mountaineer Open, and the Petrofes Invitational. Wilson has only lost one match the entire season up to this point.
