Isaiah Pruett helped lead Greensboro to the win with 13 points, leading the team.
It was a low scoring contest throughout, as both offenses struggled to get much going. For the game, the Pride shot 37% from the field while the Monarchs shot 36%. Turnovers were a problem for both teams, as Greensboro totaled 26 turnovers and Methodist had 15.

With 2:57 to play, the Pride had an 11 point lead. Methodist, however, would storm back to within 3 points with 48 seconds to play.
Isaiah Pruett hit two big free throws to put Greensboro ahead 51-46, and soon after hit two more free throws to seal the victory.
Tim Boulware had 8 points and 8 rebounds, while
Javion Majette totaled 7 points and 9 rebounds.
Erik Alvey would also score 8 points. The Monarchs played well, but struggled from behind the arc, going 0-4. With the win today, Greensboro sits 5-3 in the USA South standings, just one game behind first place Mary Baldwin.
The Pride will hit the court again next Wednesday when they travel to Southern Virginia to take on the Knights for a second time. Greensboro won the first match-up of the season on January 9th, 69-67.
