Brevard, NC - The Greensboro Women's Basketball team (1-11, 1-4) traveled to Brevard (9-3, 5-2) on Tuesday night for a USA South conference game. The Tornado's would win this one 86-45 to secure their 5th conference win of the season.
Brevard's offense was solid all night, as they scored no less than 19 points in any quarter. Olivia Miller led the team with 18 points on 9-14 shooting from the floor. The Tornado's also shot 9-18 from behind the arc.
The Pride's offense wouldn't be able to keep up with Brevard's hot shooting. They did, however, force 19 turnovers on the defensive end of the floor. Freshman
Keyonna Thompson led Greensboro with 11 points and 6 rebounds.
Azuria Barrino also had 11 points while pulling down 3 rebounds.
The Pride shot 26% from the floor and 8-15 from the free throw line. They had 24 points in the paint while getting 16 points from their bench.
Tonya Williams and
Kensie Harris both had 6 points each on the night.
Greensboro hits the floor again this Saturday when they host William Peace. Game time is set for 2:00 PM.
