Greensboro, NC - Greensboro Women's Basketball traveled to their cross-town rival Guilford College Tuesday night in a non-conference contest. The Quakers came out on top in this one by a final score of 82-48 as the Pride fell to 0-5 on the season.

Guilford controlled the game from the opening tip, as they outscored Greensboro 19-9 in the first quarter. The Pride shot just 4-15 from the floor while the Quakers shot 8-19. Guilford also hit 3 three-pointers in the first period. 

The second quarter was much of the same as Greensboro shot 15% from the field. Tonya Williams led the Pride in points on the night with 13. Williams hit 2 three-point shots and went 4-10 from the floor. For the Quakers, Courtney McMillan scored 18 points and pulled down 9 rebounds.

Greensboro's offense improved in the third quarter as they outscored Guilford 18-16. Samya Williams scored 5 of her 7 points in the period. Unfortunately for the Pride the deficit was too much to overcome as the Quakers pulled away in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

For Greensboro, Nataya Atwater scored 6 points and had 6 rebounds, while Kesie Harris and Samiah Mitchell had 6 points each. Tamera Hooker collected 10 rebounds on the night and had 4 steals.
