BUENA VISTA, VA--The Pride's men's lacrosse team made the trek up to Southern Virginia Wednesday, falling 26-9.  Ethan Pierce put the Pride ahead 1-0 at the 13:34 mark of the 1st period, while Austin Abourjile and Gage Pearman each lit up the scoreboard to increase the Pride lead to 3-1.  SVU ended the period with four straight goals to seize momentum heading into the 2nd.

The Knights would score the next seven goals, taking a 12-3 lead before Aaron Larios-Neubert found the back of the net to stop the bleeding.  However, SVU would take a 14-4 lead into halftime.

The Knights were led by Ty Veres and Shawn Lamb, each scoring four goals, and the Knights were able to control the ball with 71 total shots for the game.

Austin Abourjilie and Ethan Pierce each finished with hat-tricks offensively, while Chris Stallings was stellar in net, making 21 saves and grabbing two ground balls on the day.

The Pride return home this Saturday for a matchup with William Peace for Senior Day at 4pm.
