The Pride baseball team lost to Guilford College 10-5 on Tuesday night (March 8). The Quakers jumped out to a 6-0 lead after Colin Smith's RBI-single in the 1st, and then 3 costly fielding errors led to a four-run second inning for Guilford.Â
Adam Weber's RBI-single in the 5th inning brought Greensboro back into the game at 6-2. However, the Quakers rebuilt their lead after a sacrifice fly from Michael Sumner made it 10-3. The Pride would answer with two runs in the 9th off
Josh Pittman's 2-RBI single.
Colin Smith for Guilford proved a tough out, going 4-6 with 2 RBI, and Guilford would end up with 10 runs on 17 hits for the game.
Greensboro falls to 3-5 on the season, and will look to bounce back against Adrian on Friday at 4pm at Truist Point Stadium in High Point.
