Despite jumping out to a 4-0 lead, Greensboro could not hold the lead against Adrian, falling 14-4 on Friday night (March 11) at Truist Point Stadium.
Aaron Smith got the Pride on the board first with a double to left field, bringing in two runs, and
Josh Pittman's RBI-single made the score 3-0 in the 2nd inning.Â
Drake Carrick's RBI-single in the 3rd inning put the Pride on top 4-0.
Adrian would answer in the 4th inning, with a five run 4th inning, capped by a 2-run homerun deep to left field by Easton Rogers. Â
Things came unglued in the top half of the 6th inning, as Adrian scored eight runs on five hits, and were aided by three Pride errors in the inning, all with two outs.
Adrian added another run in the 8th, and would cruise to a 14-4 victory. Greensboro drops to 3-6 on the season, and looks to bounce back tomorrow against Adrian at 2pm.
