After falling behind 2-0, the Pride scored three goals in a 10 minute span to defeat Piedmont University, 3-2.
The first half was evenly played until the 42nd minute when Cameron Earls found the back of the net. The Lions (2-5) held the one-goal lead the half.
Piedmont saw its lead increase in the 56th minute when a ball bounced around in the box after a corner. A Greensboro defender tried to clear the ball but an unfortunate bounce put the ball into the net.
The Pride (3-6) cut the deficit in half when
Darli Mihindou scored his first goal of the season. Just under a minute later,
William Curry took advantage of a loose ball from the keeper to even the score at two.
In the 68th minute,
Jordy Briceno broke the tie. The senior found the back of the net after two passes from Mihindou and Curry created the space.
The Lions tried to even the score but only two of their next five shots were on goal as
Cristian Del Cid Portillo stopped both of them.
Del Cid Portillo made five saves in 90 minutes of action.Â
