The Greensboro College women's volleyball team faced Pfeiffer University and Meredith College in a USA South tri-match. The Pride fell to the Falcons, 3-2, before dropping to the Avenging Angels, 3-0.
Against Pfeiffer, Greensboro fell in five sets (25-16, 17-25, 12-25, 25-17 and 12-15).
Hailey Stout led all hitters with a match-high 21 kills while also having 11 digs and three blocks.Â
Carly Uhlir and
Sarah Oakes each finished with eight kills.
Mckenzie Norris recorded 27 assists as
Lauren Mantel and
Lauren Kunke had double-digit digs (19 and 13, respectively).
Natalie Rosinski led both squads with six blocks.
In the second match, Meredith won by scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-21.Uhlir led the attack with eight kills while also tallying 12 digs and two aces.
Rosanna Espinosa-Ponce and Stout each had seven kills.
Sarah Oakes recorded six blocks while Norris had a double-double with 20 assists and 10 digs. Mantel led the defense with 13 digs.
Greensboro (14-14, 6-9) welcomes Roanoke for a non-conference matchup on Tuesday, October 26 for the regular season finale at Hanes Gymnasium. Start time is set for 7:00 p.m.
