The Greensboro College women's soccer team traveled to William Peace University to face the Pacers. Three goals in the second half gave the Pride the victory.
In the second half, Greensboro (4-9-2, 2-4-1) scored the opening goal in the 54th minute as
Logan Schnabl found the back of the net for her fifth of the season.
In the 67th minute, the Pride drew a foul in the box to setup a penalty kick.
Taylor Harrison lined up for the kick and scored to double the lead.
GC kept up the pressure and it paid off in the 81st minute.
Sierra Tursich lined up on the left half of the field and delivered the perfect free kick as it bent right into the goal to secure the 3-0 win.
The first half was an even bout between the two sides with William Peace (4-5-2, 2-3-1) putting four shots on goal as the Pride placed five shots on goal.
Lindsay Fox made four saves for the win.
Greensboro hosts Mary Baldwin University on Wednesday, October 20. First kick is 4:00 p.m.
