ROANOKE, Va. – The Greensboro College baseball team fell to the Maroons of Roanoke College Tuesday 4-0.
After neither team scored in the first inning, Roanoke scored one run in the next two innings to take a 2-0 lead before adding single runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
Greensboro battled hard but left the bases loaded two times over the final five innings and fell by the four-run margin.
Michael Garvey Jr. and
Jared Rodriguez both had two hits for the Pride, while
Noah Walker had one hit.
Dominic Colosimo took the loss on the mound after pitching the first four innings.
Kendal Tucker,
Chenzo Scanio, and
Peyton Ebel combined to pitch the final four innings in relief.
