WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Eleven players scored as the Greensboro College women's basketball team coasted past the Spirits of Salem College Wednesday 78-37.
Greensboro took a 21-6 lead into the second period before extending their lead out to 41-26 heading into halftime.
Over the final 20 minutes of the game, the Pride was able to continue pulling away from Salem and secured the 41-point victory.
Shaiajah Dailey and
Destiny Timberlake both had 13 points on the evening, while
Diajah Hickson pulled down a team-leading seven rebounds to go along with six points.
The Pride women will return to action Saturday when they host N.C. Wesleyan College at 4 p.m. for senior day. In addition, the Greensboro College will also be holding its Block Out Cancer event to raise awareness for Pancreatic Cancer in honor of Head Coach
Randy Tuggle.
