GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College men's lacrosse team fell to the Quakers of Guilford College Wednesday 19-7.
 
Guilford took a one-goal lead four minutes into the first period before 
Michael Meley tied the game at one.
 
Following the Meley goal, Guilford went on 4-1 lead into the second period before extending their margin to 6-1 early in the period.
 
Despite trailing by the five-goal margin, the Pride was able to strike for four goals to pull within one with 5:36 showing on the clock. Meley tallied two of the goals, while 
Dominic Scali and 
Philip Gerber tallied one goal each.
 
After Greensboro pulled to within one, but Guilford took an 8-5 lead into halftime.
 
Guilford was then able to extend their lead out to 10-5 over the first five minutes of the third period before 
Austin Bane was able to make the score 10-6.
 
Over the final 6:39 of the period, Guilford struck for four goals while 
Davis Miller struck for two goals to make the score 14-8 heading into the final 15 minutes.
 
In the fourth, Guilford extended their lead to 17-8 before 
Ramiro Ponce scored the game's final goal.
 
Kyle Ishler took the loss in goal despite 14 saves.
