RALEIGH, N.C. – The Greensboro College men's lacrosse team defeated the Pacers of William Peace University Wednesday 12-9.
The Pacers scored the game's first goal just three minutes into the opening period before Greensboro ran off three straight goals to take a two-goal lead. Phillip Gerber scored the first goal before
Dominic Scali tallied two goals.
William Peace then outscored Greensboro 3-1 over the final 16 minutes of the first half to tie the game at four heading into halftime.
After the Pacers took a two-goal lead just three minutes into the third period, Greensboro got goals from
Michael Halladay,
Spencer Kontoulas, Michael Kiley and three goals from
Michael Meley to take a 10-7 lead into the final 15 minutes.
In the fourth, Greensboro was able outscore the Pacers 3-2 to take the victory.
Kyle Ishler was credited with the win and recorded 17 saves.
